Sustainable Skiing StrategiesOur latest episode of The GreenWave Podcast is now live: Episode 4 ![]() ⛷️ This week, we’re heading to the slopes of Jackson Hole in Wyoming and Alta in Utah—both legendary in the ski world for their powder and their forward-thinking approach to sustainable development. Jackson Hole’s 100% wind-powered lifts and biodiesel-fuelled snow groomers show what’s possible when a resort commits to reducing its carbon footprint. Alta, founded in an old mining canyon in 1938, offsets 100% of its energy use and invests in local conservation projects that keep Little Cottonwood Canyon pristine. Clearly it's a sign that tough times are ahead for an acceleration of GH2 adoption and that subsidies-driven growth speed limits that are being hit right now. 💰 Green hydrogen has benefitted from targeted US and EU government subsidies and development tax credits as a crucial component of the global clean energy transition. Read more... ![]() Turning Disaster Reconstruction into Giant Carbon Storage BanksIn our most recent GreenWave Podcast on the LA wildfires (see link below), we highlighted the new research published in Science (see link below) on carbon capture in building materials, examining how it offers a game-changing perspective on carbon sequestration—transforming construction sites into opportunities for reversing emissions and safeguarding communities from future climate threats. 🌍 Globally, the study’s findings are staggering: these next-generation materials could lock away more than 16 billion tonnes of CO2 every year. That’s a figure with the power to change the conversation around climate policy, offering a tangible way to halt greenhouse gas accumulation at scale. By leveraging mass timber, enhanced cements, and other carbon-storing solutions, our buildings can transition from polluters to powerful carbon sinks in every region worldwide. Read more...
